Friend of mine has been trying to join for over a week and goes through the verification process. Get this and nothing more

"Your registration has been successful. The administrator wishes to preview all new registered accounts before posting permissions are granted. The administrator has been notified of your registration."

A week later it says "username doesn't exist". Maybe one of the admins is clearing the spambots requests but not catching the actual users?

YES! I can help as I am the ONLY one running this site... ;-(
I usually only check the "New Acc't Requests" about once every 2 weeks. Ever since we dropped the monthly "service fee" we have been bombarded with spambot acc't requests, almost 200-300 a day! I must admit that due to my busy schedule and the fact that it takes A LOT of time to actually investigate each new user acc't request to verify it's a person not a spambot I USUALLY delete ALL the new acc't requests as of late. I DO apologize but again I am the only one running this site. When we have a NEW forum board (which I'll be purchasing for $150) this won't happen. The new Acc't requests will be handled correctly again and quickly.

Please have your friend re-apply for an acc't AND have him/her give you the e-mail used & moniker chosen (& PM me with that info) & I will go into the Admin section and IMMEDIATELY add them.

Thanks Monkee and no need to apologize. With the spambots, it's nearly impossible to track down real users.
