Hey y'all,

Just another noob here. I heard about this site on account of the AJC ad y'all ran. Very nice. I looked around a bit and decided to register because I enjoyed the discussions here, especially the 7 stages of Falcon fandom thread. I have been through all 7 of those. You know things are bad when you start having fond memories of Chris Chandler and looking for that bald head on the sideline when the D is on the field.

Anyway, I probably won't say much, but I hope to laugh some more with y'all.

Go Falcons!

I was born in '72, but I've been a Falcons fan since I was in the womb. No choice. It runs in the family. I guess losing does too. ROFL. There has been a whole lot of losing in my life over the years. However, one positive note in my fan history is that my first game was a win against the Sewage City Caints in their own Pooper Dome. My uncle was in seminary in New Orleans and we went to visit him and he took me and my granddaddy to the game versus the Falcons. Those Caints fans were highly upset about the butt whoopin' ol' William Andrews & Lynn Cain administered to them. It was really sweet. I still have that ticket. That is one rare fond memory in a load of crap like losing to FSU's stinky Weinke who throws 7 frikkin balls while we score nada TDs, which loss has only been out-crapped by losing our only Super Bowl to the buck-toothed geriatric guy in the hideous orange & blue uniform. (Sorry Gator fans out there, but I am a lifelong Dawgs fan too, and I have never seen anything uglier than the orange & blue of Denver except for the orange & blue of Florida. I haven't been to a GA-FL game in like 5 years on account of the occular damage inflicted upon me at my last one. When I passed out in my own puke that day, people thought I was drunk, but really I was just dizzy & sick from all the orange & blue hideousness swirling around me. You people have zero taste. I mean it - ZERO! You should be banished from football fandom for making me lose a belly full of top quality bourbon like that.)

Nice memories, 1972.
Myself?
Been a fan myself since '75. Watched my first game (Falcons vs Redskins) on TV. Liked the team with the 'cool' red helmets and the rest was history.
My first live game was 1989 against the Cowboys. Luckily, it was one of the 3 games the Falcons won that year. Starting in 91, I went to at leasy 3 games a season.
After finding the Roost, I started tailgating with the best bunch of guys anyone could find.
In 2002, I broke down and finally down and bought season tickets and the rest is history. Still love taking my "mini-vacations" to see my Falcons play every season and enjoy tailgating with all the folks (and primate) on the Roost.
