Hi all. This is my first post to the board. Thanx to the guy I met on Jacksonville Beach last week the day before the game who let me know about this site.

Anyway, like everyone else, I am sorely disappointed by the way things happened today. The first couple of games this season sucked but todays game really hurt and left me feeling burned and frustrated. We really should have won that game and the missed opportunities we had were just maddening. We certainly seemed to come out of the gate today aggressively on offense and it was working well but then, for some reason, we slid back into a more conservative mode, for what reason I have no idea. It looked like they went back to a more aggressive attack at the end but by then it was to late.

Then, of course, we have the DeAngelo Hall issue. I have often become frustrated with Hall in the past for some of his unprofessional and immature antics on th field. In some ways, today was no different but I don't put all of the blame on him. Sure, he could have and should have controlled himself better than he did but I honestly believe the officials were blatantly picking on him. Even the TV commentators came out and questioned both of the consecutive penalties that were called against Hall, stopping just short of calling them outright BS. It was over-officiating at it's worst and it made me absolutely sick.

You know, when bad over-umpiring happens during a Braves game, I have often heard Skip Carry make the comment, and I'm paraphrasing here, "You know, some of these umpires seem to think that the fans paid good money and came to the game today to watch them umpire." Well, I think the same thing can frequently be said of football officials and it certainly seemed to be the case on Sunday afternoon.

Oh well, on to next Sunday.... and the Texans. Laters,

Ken

Hey man. Whats up? Yeah, that was you. To bad we don't have much positive to discuss since then. Hopefully Matt Schaub won't totally tear us to shreds next Sunday because that would really be embarrassing and depressing. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed on that one. Laters,

Ken
